MCL – Who We Are 2017-07-04T11:02:04+00:00

Welcome to Mt. Calvary Lutheran School!

On behalf of the faculty, staff, students and families of Mt. Calvary Lutheran School, I welcome you!  We are very happy you found us!

Mt. Calvary Lutheran School has provided a quality Christian education from Preschool (age 2) to 8th grade since 1982 in the Diamond Bar community.  Mt. Calvary Lutheran School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and National Lutheran Schools Association (NLSA) and have maintained a record of academic success throughout our history.

It is my hope and prayer that you will take the next step and give us a call to our office and schedule a tour of our campus.  I am assured that once you step forward into Mt. Calvary Lutheran School, this is the place where OUR family will become YOUR family.

You will love our dedicated teachers and staff.  The love for their Lord and Savior is shared and modeled daily within their classrooms.  Teaching is exemplified by challenging students to be life-long learners and to be servant leaders within their school and community.  Teachers work on developing the God-given gifts and talents of each child.  Our teachers work closely in relationship with their students and families.

Mt. Calvary Lutheran School provides a safe and orderly environment to learn.  Students participate in a variety of daily activities and enrichment opportunities that develop their potential spiritually, academically, physically and socially.  We also provide care for students before school and an after school care program on our campus.

I encourage you to call our School Administrative Assistant at 909-861-2740 ext. 0 to schedule a tour and see if Mt. Calvary Lutheran School is the right fit for your family.  Join with us in our vision of connecting families by joyfully sharing the love of Jesus.  I look forward to seeing you at our school.

C – Christian Values

A – Academic Advancement

R – Responsible Citizens

E – Effective Communicators

Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church established its Christian day school in 1983 in order to provide the children of Mt. Calvary’s congregation with a Christian education.  Today, MCL provides a Christian education for children within the Lutheran Church, other Christian denominations, and to those who wish to provide their child with a Christ-centered private education. The school also exists as a mission outreach to the surrounding communities.  MCL has grown from five classrooms with five teachers to 9 teachers with a preschool, library and computer lab.

Mt. Calvary Lutheran School is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools Western Association of Schools and Colleges and by the National Lutheran School Accreditation.  MCL is visited by these agencies on a regular basis to assure continuing academic excellence and to maintain the accredited status.

Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and School believes that its primary mission is to lead children and adults to develop a devotion and trust in God as their:
