ABOUT US
Welcome to Mt. Calvary Lutheran School
In 1983, the congregation of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church opened the doors to our school. Mt. Calvary is an excellent, Christ-centered educational facility serving students in Preschool through 8th Grade. Throughout its history, the school has maintained a high level of academic success in both our district and the local community. Mt. Calvary Lutheran School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA).
The faculty and staff of Mt. Calvary are dedicated to serving the students and their families. The love of Jesus is shared and modeled every day in all of our classrooms. Teaching is exemplified by challenging students to be lifelong learners and servant leaders within their school and community. Our teachers strive to build relationships with their students and their families through consistent communication and timely updates.
Mt. Calvary is dedicated to providing a safe, stimulating, and orderly environment to learn and grow. Students participate in a variety of daily activities and enrichment opportunities such as Athletics, Drama, Music, and Dance. Our educational curriculum develops the student spiritually, academically, physically, and socially. We also provide care for students before and after school through our School Age Care program.
We look forward to partnering with you and joining in the vision of connecting families by joyfully sharing the love of Jesus. Our educational team is excited to welcome you as an “Mt. Calvary Eagle.” I look forward to seeing you on campus and working with you in developing our next generation.
In Christ,
Deryl R. Maxwell, M.A | Principal

WHAT WE BELIEVE
We Lutherans take our name from Martin Luther. He was a German priest who broke away from the Roman Catholic Church in the early 1500’s. Luther’s writings and teachings sparked the Protestant Reformation.
Through his study of the Bible, Luther helped the Christian Church rediscover the truth that God is loving and that he offers forgiveness and eternal life as a free gift because of Jesus Christ. Luther taught that people, no matter how hard they try, cannot earn God’s forgiveness or a place in heaven. It is a gift that people receive through faith in Jesus Christ.
