PARENT TEACHER LEAGUE (PTL)

The Parent Teacher League, or PTL, is comprised of parents and teachers of the school community. Parents of all Mt. Calvary Lutheran students (preschool through 8th grade) are members of the PTL and are encouraged to attend and become involved in meetings and activities. The purpose of the PTL is to provide support for the administration, the staff and the students as they partner with us in the education of our children.  Activities of the PTL are coordinated by its Board in conjunction with the Principal.  The PTL is instrumental in raising money for specific needs above and beyond the operating costs such as technology, playground and campus enhancements, teacher requests, etc.

While the PTL raises funds, more importantly, the PTL gives parents an opportunity to be engaged in their children’s school life by volunteering. Keep in mind that by volunteering at our school, you will get to enjoy interacting with the kids, get to know the other parents, and accomplish things that truly make a difference. It is a very worthwhile experience that you and your child will remember, even if it’s baking cupcakes for a party, manning a class party, helping with Oktoberfest, or tagging along on a field trip. We know that many parents feel they cannot participate in the PTL because they cannot come to meetings or be on campus during the day. Work, family and just plain life often keep us from spending whatever extra time we have to volunteer. Simply collecting box tops, setting up for an activity, joining us at PTL sponsored fun nights – these are just some of the ways you can participate. Whether you have 30 minutes or a couple of hours – your ideas, your time, your talents and your voice is needed. There are endless possibilities in ways that you can help! We are always looking for supporters to help make our events successful.
