Dear MCL Families, Staff, & Students:

The health and safety of our MCL family is our top priority.  After much prayer, research and deliberation, it has been decided to temporarily suspend all on campus activities effective Monday, March 16th.  Infant Care, Preschool and K-8 classes are suspended immediately and are scheduled to resume Monday, March 30th.  There is a possibility the temporary closure will be extended, so be sure to look for any follow-up communication.

To date, there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Mt. Calvary.  We have chosen to act with caution as the situation is very fluid and can change at any moment.  Mt. Calvary will continue to keep in contact with local, state and national health agencies to monitor the current situation.  Please notify us if someone in your household is showing symptoms or has tested positive for COVID-19.  Please continue to pray for our school, country and all who have been infected.
The K-3 Children’s Praise Choir will no longer be singing in church on Sunday. The Curriculum Fair will be postponed and hopefully rescheduled for a later date.  The Kindergarten Roundup and Chancy & Bruce Parent Workshop will also be postponed and rescheduled.

The K-8 teachers are preparing to provide distance learning opportunities for the students during our shutdown period.  The details for each of the classroom assignments will follow in a separate email.  Tuition payments for K-8 will continue as the students will still be provided with distance learning and instruction.  Preschool tuition payments will be suspended as there are no services provided.
Please direct any questions, comments or concerns to the school office.

In His Service,
Chris Alcorn
Chairman of the Board of Education
Mt. Calvary Lutheran School
